I need a volunteer to take net control duties for next week's net. Running a net is excellent practice and sharpens your radio skills. You don't need to be a club member to take this net. Net scripts can be sent to you or browsed from the web. Who would like to take the net for next Monday evening? [pause, copy, ack; Hint: Take advantage of the extended silence while waiting for someone to volunteer; count the number of check-ins]

This is (your name and your call), net control.

[ QST summary -- time and interest permitting ]

Is there any further traffic for the Las Cumbres A R C net? Please announce your call; I'll acknowledge you in turn for your traffic. Go ahead. [pause, copy, ack ]
