Good Evening! It's time for the Las Cumbres Amateur Radio Club Net. This net may be broken at any time for priority traffic. I'll pause now for any stations with priority traffic before the net gets underway. This is (your call), net control. [pause, let the repeater "drop" for 10-15 seconds]
The Las Cumbres Amateur Radio Club net meets every Monday evening at 19:30 for purposes of passing news, information, QSTs, and taking member and guest check-ins. My name is (your name), rolex replica watches and my call is (your call). I'll be the net control station for this evening. [pause]
The Las Cumbres Amateur Radio Club operates the following K6FB VHF and UHF open repeaters:
- K6FB 1.25 meter is heard at 223.88 MHz, minus offset.
- K6FB 2 meter is heard at 145.45 MHz, minus offset.
- K6FB 70 centimeter is heard at 442.575, positive offset.
The 2 meter and 70 centimeter repeaters are normally linked. All of these repeaters require a PL of 100 hertz.
The VHF repeaters are located on Castle Rock Ridge, west of Los Gatos, at 2800 feet. The UHF repeater is located on Black Mountain, west of Palo Alto, also at 2800 feet. These repeaters offer extensive coverage from the Sierra to the Sea. [pause]
The Las Cumbres Amateur Radio Club also operates the following VHF packet stations:
- K6FB - 1 is operated as a digipeater.
- K6FB - 2 is operated as a PBBS.
- K6FB - 7 is operated as a KA node.
All of these packet stations are on 145.05 MHz. Additionally,
- K6FB - 5 is operated as an NOS TCP/IP node at 145.75 MHz with an IP address of 44.4.8.1, the node is named "losgatos".
All K6FB packet stations are located at the Castle Rock Ridge site. [pause]
Next up are check ins. I will call for check-ins as follows: first, early and mobile check-ins, then stations with QSTs or reports, followed by club member check-ins, and then guest stations are invited and encouraged to check-in.
